A friendly cricket match for men and a volleyball match for women were organized by the Manmunai West Pradeshiya Sabha and held on the 5th of May, 2026, at Bharath Sports Ground in Navatkadu. The matches happen between Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat and the Batticaloa West Zonal Education Office.
The event was graced by the chief guest, Divisional Secretary Mrs. Sathyananthi Namasivayam. The Chairman of Manmunai West Pradeshiya Sabha, Director of Zonal Education, Divisional Secretariat Accountant, Zonal Education Office Accountant, and Secretary of Manmunai West Pradeshiya Sabha also attended the event.
At the end of the competition, our Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat team, which was selected for the final round in the cricket tournament, secured second place, while our team successfully secured first place in the women's volleyball tournament.
