Funded by the National Secretariat for Elders and under the guidance of the Divisional Secretary of Manmunai West, Mrs. Namasivayam Sathiyananthi, the Digital Literacy Programme for Senior Citizens was successfully held on 06.10.2026 at the main auditorium of the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat.
Through this programme, practical awareness was provided on connecting senior citizens with the modern digital world, utilizing their leisure time productively, and marketing goods produced by them using digital technologies.
Furthermore, awareness was raised on how senior citizens can make their daily lives more productive and joyful by utilizing various opportunities available in the current digital world.
Mr. Vinoth (Trainer & Facilitator), Mr. K. Pratheeswaran (Vcot), and E. Sangeeth participated as resource persons in this event, providing the necessary training and explanations to the seniors.
Additionally, the Social Services Officer, officials from the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat, and senior citizens from within the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat division participated in this event with great enthusiasm.
