An appointment ceremony for mediators was held on 11.09.2025 at the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat, under the leadership of Mr. Subramaniam Ganesh, Chairman of the Mediation Board. The event was graced by Mrs. Sathiyananthi Namasivayam, Divisional Secretary, as the Chief Guest.
Special guests included Assistant Divisional Secretary Mrs. L. Prasanthan, Zonal Education Director Mr. K. Raghukaran, Divisional Secretariat Accountant Mr. S. Sundaralingam, and District Mediation Training Officer Mr. M. I. M. Asath. The newly appointed mediators also participated as honorary guests, adding value to the event.
The appointments were made based on recommendations by the Judicial Service Commission, as part of a village-level community justice initiative. The goal is to resolve local disputes and issues amicably, avoiding delays, unnecessary costs, and financial burdens, thereby promoting the well-being of the community.
