The initiative meeting for the Large Scale Agriculture under the Manmunai West Divisional Secretariat was held on 23.09.2025, chaired by Additional Government Agent Mrs. S. Sudarsini and organized by Divisional Secretary Mrs. Sathiyanandhi Namasivayam. Key officials from Irrigation, Agriculture, Seed Development, Insurance, Veterinary, Police, and Local Government Departments, along with farmers, participated.
The campaign plans to cultivate a total of 36,240 acres — 14,113 acres through irrigation and 22,127 acres using the Maanavari method. The meeting covered project updates by Irrigation Departments, fertilizer distribution procedures, modern farming techniques like parachute method and laser leveling, seed distribution, insurance schemes, and bank loan facilities tailored for farmers.
